    Pasadena City College men's basketball redshirt transfer freshman Joe Hampton signed a national scholarship letter of intent earlier this month to attend NCAA Division I Long Beach State University. A 6-foot-8 power forward, Hampton is averaging a Lancers high 18.2 points and 6.7 rebounds a game so far this season.

    With his 4-year university future all set after his signing this month at Long Beach State University, Pasadena City College redshirt freshman forward Joe Hampton went about the business of producing for the Lancers men's basketball team. On Tuesday evening at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium, Hampton scored 30 points as PCC got past local rival Glendale, 82-73, in a non-conference game.

    Reserve guard Kyle Mitchell poured in four 3-pointers in the first half as part of his 22 points as the Pasadena City College men's basketball team captured the consolation title of its Skip Robinson Classic, defeating Mt. San Antonio, 67-56, Saturday at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
