It's been a trying 2018 season for the Pasadena City College women's cross country team thus far. Due to eligibility and injuries, the Lancers had only two runners available for their September 7 meet at the Palomar Invitational. On Saturday at the 28-team, SoCal Preview Meet held at Cerritos College, PCC decided to not enter the race.
At Palomar's Oceanside course, Julia Reyes, a sophomore, finished 20th out of 78 overall runners from 11 colleges for the best PCC finish. Reyes ran the 5-kilometer route in 21:40.9. Freshman Amanda Noriega placed 41st in 23:10. The Lancers did not place as a team as there is a 5-runner requirement to score/place as a team.
PCC was scheduled to next participate in the Mustang Challenge in Santa Clarita on September 29.
