The Pasadena City College baseball team knows how important this week's 3-game series v. newly ranked state #22 El Camino is to the program's postseason hopes. The Lancers moved past the Warriors into fourth place in the South Coast Conference with Tuesday's 12-7 victory at Brookside Park's Jackie Robinson Field.

The unranked Lancers (19-10 overall) are 10-6 now in the SCC standings while ECC (21-12) dropped to 11-8.

PCC trailed 4-0 early on and then tied it with three runs in the fourth as Bryan Richman extended his hitting streak to 20 games on a 2-RBI double. ECC regained the advantage at 5-4 before Omar Cisneros hit an opposite field, run-scoring double down the right field line. He would then score on a wild pitch for a 6-5 Lancers lead.

In the seventh, Pasadena added a run-scoring single by Devon Eskridge and Evan Nahra's RBI double. El Camino cut it to 8-7, but again PCC responded with four runs in the eighth, highlighted by Nahra's 2-run double to center.

Cisneros led an 11-hit attack with a perfect 3-for-3 day (stolen base, two RBI), Nahra was 2-for-3 with three ribbies, and Devin Munoz went 2-for-4.

Isaac Ton started and went five innings before Matt Garcia relieved and pitched two innings to earn his fourth victory. Aiden Nunez closed out it out with 1.2 innings of shutout ball for his second save.

On Thursday, April 10, PCC continues the series with a 2 p.m. contest at El Camino, followed by another home contest on Saturday, April 12 (12 noon).
