Downtown Brown Helps Men's Cagers Break Losing Streak

Freshman guard Justin Brown flashed back memories of NBA legend "Downtown" Freddie Brown with his long-range shooting on Coaches v. Cancer Night. In a 16-minute span of the second half, Brown came off the bench and burned the net for seven 3-point bombs for all 21 of his points as his Pasadena City College Lancers broke an 8-game losing streak, defeating LA Trade Tech, 74-62, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Losses Mount For Men's Hoops

An above .500 team on Jan. 6 at 8-7, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team has since encountered the whopper of all slumps. The Lancers were dealt their eighth straight loss, 95-64, Friday night against state No 11 East Los Angeles at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. PCC remains winless in South Coast Conference North Division play at 0-6..

Offense Lacking In SCC North Division Play

After averaging 69 points a game over its first 17 contests, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team has had trouble making shots from the field or the free throw line in two South Coast Conference North Division losses last week.

Another 6th For Men's Basketball At Cuesta Tourney

The good news for the Pasadena City College men's basketball team was that it was able to play into the final day of all five of its pre-conference tournaments this season thus playing 15 of a possible 15 contests. The not-so-good news was that PCC lost the opener in all five tourneys and went 2-3 in consolation title finals.

Consolation Title For Men's Basketball At Sequoias Tournament

The Pasadena City College men's basketball team goes into a the holiday break on a high note after winning the consolation title at the College of Sequoias Kirby Mannon Tournament Dec. 15-17. The Lancers ran their record to 7-6 and captured the fifth place trophy by defeating Shasta, 67-52, on Sunday.
