    The Pasadena City College men's basketball team can't seem to finish games of late and despite being within a basket in the last minute in each of its last three games, the Lancers lost all of them. On Wednesday, LA Harbor rallied from 15 points down midway through the second half and handed PCC a 72-71 defeat in a South Coast Conference crossover game at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

    The Pasadena City College men's basketball team let one slip away in the semifinals of the Santa Barbara City College Holiday Classic Dec. 13-15, but the Lancers 2-1 showing garnered third place at the tourney. PCC upped its overall record to 8-5, winning eight of its last 10 contests.

    George Terzian, the winningest men's basketball coach in Pasadena City College history, has died at the age of 83 after a determined battle with cancer. Terzian passed away on Sunday at his home in Altadena.

This time it was El Camino that had trouble with PCC's intense defensive approach as Pasadena posted a 72-47 victory Wednesday night at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

    Joe Barnes, who was an assistant coach on two state champion Pasadena City College men's basketball teams and was the head coach when Lakers great Michael Cooper attended PCC, died last night at the age of 79. Barnes served as a chemistry professor in Natural Sciences for 35 years before retiring in 2005.

    Reserve guard Rasheet Wilson picked up the intensity and helped the Pasadena City College men's basketball team turn around a 10-point deficit in a wild second-half rally as the Lancers roared past Barstow, 89-69, in the opening round of the Skip Robinson Classic Thursday night. The contest was one of four games played at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.
