A returning letterman, Vazquez started all 30 games last year as the team's point guard. He averaged 7.9 points, 5 assists, 4 rebounds and 1.9 steals (led team with 58). He led the South Coast Conference in helpers with 149. 

He was an All-Del Rey League player at Bishop Montgomery High.

Men's Basketball HC Ryan Frazer Leaves PCC After 3 Seasons

In a little more than three years, head coach Ryan Frazer turned the Pasadena City College men's basketball team into one of the top programs in Southern California. Frazer's successful time at PCC though is coming to an end as he said he has accepted the position as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I University of Montana.

But the Lancers were more than happy to receive the #15 seed as they now host #18 Cuesta in the Southern California Regional Playoffs on Wednesday. Tip-off is 7 p.m. at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Needing something big to cement a potentially better playoff seeding, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team picked a historic night for head coach Ryan Frazer as he collected his 100th career victory in a 73-68 upset over state #3-ranked Mt. San Antonio College on Wednesday.

Men's Cagers, Swillis Rebound From Tough Loss With Winning Effort v. LA Trade Tech

Two evenings ago, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team allowed Los Angeles City to steal a game from the Lancers, 64-63, on an off night for the team and post forward Dylan Swillis. PCC responded Friday by getting a sterling performance by Swillis, who scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in an 84-79, South Coast Conference North Division victory over LA Trade Tech at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Freshman forward Cooper Creamer picked the right time to have a breakout performance. The Pasadena City College men's basketball team fell behind by as much as 20 points in the first half, but rallied behind the 3-point shooting of Quinlan Daly in outdueling host Compton, 85-79, in a South Coast Conference crossover game Friday night.

State #20 Men's Hoops Stung By 2 Ranked North Teams At Santa Rosa Tourney

Recently moved up to #20 on the State Top 30 Poll, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team was tripped up by two other ranked teams in going 1-2 at the Santa Rosa Junior College Kris Kringle Tournament Dec. 19-21.

Men's Basketball Wins AVC Tourney Championship For 2nd Straight Year

For the second straight year, the state #23-ranked Pasadena City College men's basketball team finished 3-0 to capture the Antelope Valley Gregg Anderson Memorial Tournament title played Dec. 6-8.

Now ranked #23 in the current State Top 30, The Pasadena City College men's basketball team went 1-1 at the Cerro Coso Crossover tournament held Nov. 29-30.

Board Work Lifts Men's Cagers To Road Victory

Last season, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team had a successful 19-11 season and won a playoff game, but one area of concern for the Lancers was a rebounding disadvantage v. a number of teams. PCC was outrebound in all but one of its losses.

As the premier rebounder and inside player on the Pasadena City College men's basketball team, returning sophomore wing Dylan Swillis is already a key presence to the Lancers attack. But the 6-foot-5 performer added a new wrinkle as long-range shooter in helping PCC defeat Glendale, 76-59, to finish the Lancers Skip Robinson Classic round-robin tourney on Saturday afternoon.
