Spenser Nunes, an assistant coach the past three seasons, was promoted to interim head coach of the Pasadena CIty College men's basketball team for the 2025-26 season.

In a little more than three years, head coach Ryan Frazer turned the Pasadena City College men's basketball team into one of the top programs in Southern California. Frazer's successful time at PCC though is coming to an end as he said he has accepted the position as an assistant coach at NCAA Division I University of Montana.

Dylan Swillis became just the seventh player in Pasadena City College's 100-year history in men's basketball to score at least 40 points in a game, but his heroic 41-point performance only served as a highlight in the Lancers' 81-75, SoCal Regional Round 2 Playoff defeat at #2 Citrus on Saturday night.

The #15-seed Pasadena City College men's basketball team resembled the proverbial guy at the casino who scored big on a couple of hands early only to give it all back to the house in its SoCal Regional Round 1 Playoff game Wednesday night v. #18 seed Cuesta.

The Pasadena City College men's basketball team didn't really know where it would be seeded going into the coaches regional committee meeting on Sunday. But the Lancers were more than happy to receive the #15 seed as they now host #18 Cuesta in the Southern California Regional Playoffs on Wednesday. Tip-off is 7 p.m. at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Playoff Seed Awaits Men's Basketball As Regular Season Ends

The Pasadena City College men's basketball team closed out the 2024-25 regular season by securing third place in the South Coast Conference North Division as the Lancers look forward to their third consecutive postseason in the three seasons since head coach Ryan Frazer took over the program.

Sweet 100th Career Win For Coach Frazer As Men's Hoops Knocks Off #3 Mt. SAC

Needing something big to cement a potentially better playoff seeding, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team picked a historic night for head coach Ryan Frazer as he collected his 100th career victory in a 73-68 upset over state #3-ranked Mt. San Antonio College on Wednesday.

Men's Cagers, Swillis Rebound From Tough Loss With Winning Effort v. LA Trade Tech

Two evenings ago, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team allowed Los Angeles City to steal a game from the Lancers, 64-63, on an off night for the team and post forward Dylan Swillis. PCC responded Friday by getting a sterling performance by Swillis, who scored 20 points and grabbed 15 rebounds in an 84-79, South Coast Conference North Division victory over LA Trade Tech at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

After losing three of four games late in January, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team has steadied its ship and earned two straight wins, including Monday's 86-74 triumph over Long Beach CC at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Facing the wheeling and dealing slamma jamma known as state #8 East Los Angeles College, the unranked Pasadena City College men's basketball team played well in the first half excentuated by Dylan Swillis' monster slam before halftime.

SCC North Opening-Win For Men's Basketball A Matter Of Just Adding Creamer

Freshman forward Cooper Creamer picked the right time to have a breakout performance. The 6-foot-5 post player produced season bests in points with 25 and for the first time reached double figures in rebounds with 11 as the Pasadena City College men's basketball team opened South Coast Conference North Division play with a 75-67 victory at LA Trade-Tech on Wednesday night.

For more than 36 minutes, Cerritos College controlled its contest v. the host Pasadena City College men's basketball team and it appeared it was over as the Lancers trailed by 15 with 3:29 left on the clock.

Big Rally Gives Men's Cagers Win At Compton

The Pasadena City College men's basketball team fell behind by as much as 20 points in the first half, but rallied behind the 3-point shooting of Quinlan Daly in outdueling host Compton, 85-79, in a South Coast Conference crossover game Friday night.

Recently moved up to #20 on the State Top 30 Poll, the Pasadena City College men's basketball team was tripped up by two other ranked teams in going 1-2 at the Santa Rosa Junior College Kris Kringle Tournament Dec. 19-21.
