Heavy rain that soaked Robinson Stadium's turf seemed to take away whatever momentum the Pasadena City College men's soccer team had going into its season finale Tuesday. But newly-named team captain Esai Matchan refused to let his team mail it in after the Lancers fell behind 4-0 by the game's 28th minute.

Playing State #1,3,5 Teams Takes Toll on Men's Soccer

The Pasadena City College men's soccer team played outstanding defense in a 2-0 loss to state #1-ranked Cerritos on Oct. 14, then suffered through rough outings v. #3 El Camino and #5 Mt. San Antonio last week. The Lancers are just 1-5 in the South Coast Conference.

Men's Soccer Comes Up Short In SCC Opener

Host Los Angeles City College kept the pressure on the Pasadena City College men's soccer team Tuesday night in the South Coast Conference opener for both schools. While the Lancers defense kept its poise for most of the match, a bad break in the way of an own goal broke a scoreless tie in the 55th minute as the Cubs handed PCC a 2-0 defeat.

4-Game Win Streak Ends For Men's Soccer

Two games in two days proved too much for the Pasadena City College men's soccer team. Off to its best start since the 2003 season at 6-1-2, the Lancers wilted in the second half Wednesday in allowing four second-half goals in a 5-0 loss to San Bernardino Valley. The game was played at Robinson Stadium.

Matchan's 2 Goals Help Men's Soccer To 3rd Straight Victory

The consistency of freshman striker Esai Matchan continues to be one of the biggest reasons the Pasadena City College men's soccer team is off to a 5-1-2 start to the 2022 season. Matchan scored two goals on Friday as PCC blanked Imperial Valley, 3-0, for the Lancers' third straight win at Robinson Stadium.

Off to the program's best start in five seasons under head coach Gerry Mora, the Pasadena City College men's soccer team advanced its record to 4-1-2 overall by controlling the entire 90 minutes of a 5-0 blanking of visiting Victor Valley College on Friday.

After going undefeated in its opening four matches, the Pasadena City College men's soccer team suffered its first defeat in a 6-2 loss at College of the Desert on Sept. 9. The Lancers rebounded Tuesday with a 5-1 victory at Orange Coast that gave the squad a 3-1-2 record to date.
