Eriqlee Adame, a runner on this year's Pasadena City College men's cross country team, accomplished his goal of completing the Ironman California, held in Sacramento, back on Oct. 22. How he did it was a story of determination.
Eriqlee Adame is no ordinary freshman on the Pasadena City College men's cross country team. Adame is a military veteran who served in the U.S. Marine Corps. While he races for the Lancers, Adame has a bigger goal as he sheds light on the plight of veterans with posttraumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.
Luca Augustyn stepped up with his best run this year with a 53rd place finish as the Pasadena City College men's cross country team took seventh at the Golden West Central Park Classic held Sept. 22.
The Southern California Preview meet is a first look at all the region's teams together in one setting. While the Pasadena City College men's cross country team finished 21st out of 27 teams, the Lancers saw improvement in all of their runners.
