Two-Time, All-SCC Softball Infielder Moreno Inks With Marymount

Karina Moreno, Pasadena City College's top offensive weapon the past two seasons on the softball team, will continue her education and playing career after signing a scholarship with NAIA Marymount California University in Palos Verdes.

Moreno, the team's shortstop, batted .391 over two seasons, setting PCC school records for most runs scored in a season (48 this year) and for a career with 84. She totaled 99 hits, 44 walks and 38 stolen bases. Her collegiate career on-base percentage was nearly .500 (.488).

The lefty-hitting and right-handed throwing Moreno helped the Lancers to 45 victories and two 20-win seasons while also leading them to the program's first Southern California Playoff appearance in 11 years.
