Lancers alumnae Saku Yoshioka joins the PCC assistant coaching staff for the 2025 season.

A libero/defensive specialist for the Lancers in 2019, then 2021, Yoshioka established herself as a steady performer with 399 career digs. She was one of the best serving players under Lancers head coach Mike Terrill as she recorded 101 aces, including the fourth highest, single-season total of 57 as a freshman.

She first moved on to play briefly at NCAA Division III University of Redlands, then transferred to attend and play at UC Santa Cruz, where she appeared in 22 matches for the Banana Slugs in 2023. 

Yoshioka earned a bachelor's degree in education, democracy and justice at UCSC.

She began coaching first as a volunteer assistant at PCC in 2022, then as an assistant at Glendale High later that year. She went on to coach at Pasadena High in 2023 before serving as a coach for the Main Volleyball Club in Santa Cruz the past three years.
