The Pasadena City College women's cross country team finished 21st out of 27 scoring teams at the Southern California Championship meet held Friday at Mission Bay Park in San Diego.
The Lancers placed three runners in the top 100 of the 187-runner field with Christina Elizalde the fastest harrier on a time of 20 minutes, 53.6 seconds for 67th place over the 5-kilometer course. Franceska Millanponce crossed the line in 82nd at 21:16.3 while Veronica Mejia was 94th at 21:31.3.
Other PCC finishers were Dirce Pliego (137th, 22:49.8), Valerie Vega (159th, 23:50.4), Helen Estrada (169th, 24:31.6), and Joanna Anaya (181st, 26:06.2).
