Mt. SAC Invite Results

Camila Gonzalez placed 17th to help the Pasadena City College women's cross country team take fourth place overall at the 77th Mt. SAC Invitational held at Mt. San Antono College on Friday.

The Lancers ended up being just one of four teams to score as a team as the other 11 colleges participating did not have the required five runners to garner a total score.

Sixty-five runners took part in the 3-mile race as Gonzalez continues to shine as PCC's top harrier, hitting the finish line at 20 minutes, 47.7 seconds.

She was followed by Deniya Fields in 23rd (21:09.5), Ellen Kim in 34th (22.28), Graciela Franquez in 45th (23:37), Jennipher German in 54th (26:26) and Carolina De Los Santos in 59th (29:56). Also competing for the Lancers was Yara Villalvazo (60th, 30:11) and Priscilla Corona (65th, 45:24).

While El Camino's Jadeyn Skefich won the individual race in 18:18.7, host Mt. SAC easily scored the team title with 23 points, led by three runners among the top five finishers.

Pasadena will return to the Mt. SAC course on Friday, Oct. 31 as it takes part in the South Coast Conference Championships.
