Women's Cross Country's Camila Gonzalez 23rd At SoCal Championships
Pasadena City College freshman Camila Gonzalez got below 20 minutes for the first time in a 5-kilometer race as she raced a season-best 19 minutes, 47.08 seconds for 23rd place individually at the Southern California Championships held Friday at San Diego's Naval Training Center Park.

Pasadena City College freshman Camila Gonzalez got below 20 minutes for the first time in a 5-kilometer race as she raced a season-best 19 minutes, 47.08 seconds for 23rd place individually at the Southern California Championships held Friday at San Diego's Naval Training Center Park.
Her high finish easily qualifed the Arcadia High product for the 3C2A State Championships in Fresno on Saturday, Nov. 22.
The Lancers placed 17th out of 20 scoring teams at the regional meet.
After Gonzalez, Deniya Fields placed 74th (147 racers overall) at 21:36.57, Graciela Franquez 102nd (22:37.65), Ellen Kim 105th (22:46.33), and Jennipher German 125th (24:50.29).
Fields, whose made a huge improvement this season and is PCC's top track and field sprinter, also qualified for the state meet with Gonzalez.
Non-scoring Lancers were Yara Villalvazo in 139th (28:19) and Carolina De Los Santos in 140th (28:48).
