Exciting Run For Men's Soccer In 5th At Season-Ending SCC Tournament

The very first and possibly last South Coast Conference Championship Tournament was a chance for the Pasadena City College men's soccer team to shine. The #7-seeded Lancers once again gave #2 seed Cerritos a battle in a 1-1 road tie that went the Falcons way on penalty kicks and then won the fifth place game in dramatic fashion with a last-second goal in a 2-1 win over Rio Hondo Friday at tourney host El Camino College.

Men's Soccer Shocks State #2 Cerritos, 4-2

The Pasadena City College men's soccer team took down state #2-ranked Cerritos College and ended the Falcons' 40-game undefeated streak (35-0-5) in a 4-2, South Coast Conference victory Friday at Robinson Stadium.

Men's Soccer Beats Glendale, But Outgunned By State RPI #1 Mt. SAC In SCC Opener

The Pasadena City College men's soccer team used a premium effort in defeating host Glendale on Friday, but couldn't carry that momentum into Tuesday's South Coast Conference opener. Mt. San Antonio, rated #2 on the sports information state poll but #1 in the RPI state ratings, looked like it in a 5-2 win over the Lancers at Robinson Stadium.

A large incoming group of 22 freshmen will make or break the fortunes of the 2019 Pasadena City College men's soccer team. Third-year head coach Gerry Mora is carrying a large 30-player roster overall but is going to be reliant on the newcomers to learn the college game on a faster curve than other seasons.
