Eduardo Urbina is the last chance for the Pasadena City College men's track and field season as he is the lone Lancers qualifier for the Southern California Championships on Saturday, May 13 at Cerritos College. Urbina (Duarte High) raced a time of 4:04.81 in the 1,500 meters during the SoCal Prelims meet on May 6 to place him in the final 12 for the finals race.
Brennan Doyle, Christian Alcala, Ethan Lam, and Marcelo Ramirez are all members of the Pasadena City College men's track and field team moving up the state charts in their respective events.
Knowing that B heats are where the Pasadena City College men's track and field team are best suited currently, the Lancers came up with some strong efforts at the Cerritos College Open Feb. 23-24. Four Lancers won their specific heats while the best performance was turned in by Brandon Tong in the 200 meters.
Pasadena City College men's track and field freshman Brennan Doyle won the 800 meters in a time of 2 minutes, 1.74 seconds at the Battle of the Regions Meet held Feb. 10 at Bakersfield College. The 800 could very well be the strength of the 2017 Lancers under first-year head coach Innocent Egbunike.
