PCC Badminton's Streak of SCC Team Titles Ends at 5

Friday's 17-4 loss at Irvine Valley spelled the end of the Pasadena City College women's badminton reign of control over the South Coast Conference. The Lancers streak of five straight SCC titles from 2015-2019 came to an end as IVC clinched the 2022 SCC crown.

Badminton Still In Hunt For SCC Title

With Wednesday's 19-2 win over East Los Angeles, the Pasadena City College women's badminton team still has an outside chance of tying Irvine Valley for the 2022 South Coast Conference team title. The Lasers all but have a share of the crown at 6-0 in conference matches, but PCC is 4-1 in second place.

Badminton's 51-Match, South Coast Conference Win Streak Snapped By Irvine Valley

A South Coast Conference winning streak that started when Pasadena City College women's badminton head coach Jen Ho took over the program in 2015 came to end Wednesday. Irvine Valley stopped the Lancers' 51-match conference win string, 14-7, at PCC's Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Reboot For Women's Badminton in 2022

The COVID-19 pandemic caused a ripple effect on California Community College athletics. The Pasadena City College women's badminton team is one program that certainly was affected greatly by the worldwide health crisis.
