Women's Basketball Rolls To 38-Point Romp Over LA Trade-Tech
The Pasadena City College women's basketball team registed a season best in 3-point baskets with 12 and went on to rout Los Angeles Trade-Tech, 84-46, in a South Coast Conference North Division game on Friday night. The second win this week at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium upped the team's conference mark to 2-0.

The Pasadena City College women's basketball team registed a season best in 3-point baskets with 12 and went on to rout Los Angeles Trade-Tech, 84-46, in a South Coast Conference North Division game on Friday night. The second win this week at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium upped the team's conference mark to 2-0.
In the team's first 20 games, the Lancers (13-8 overall) only got as high as eight treys in a loss to Chabot, but against LATT they got hot from beyond the arc, led by Vanessa Epperson, who was 5-for-11 on bombs in surpassing her '23-24 season hiigh for the second straight game in scoring 31 points. The sophomore transfer guard added eight assists, seven rebounds and two steals.
Antuanae Garrett sank 4-for-6 on 3-pointers as part of her 18 points to go with eight boards and six assists while Abigail Saville added 16 points and eight rebounds. Lamia Daley picked up nine points (one three), eight rebounds and seven assists.
Off the bench, Jordyn Finley scored seven points (one three) while Salia Baligh hit a trey for her three points. Kayla Faeldonea didn't score but grabbed four rebounds. Starting center Crystal Smith blocked three shots and had four boards.
PCC scored the game's first 22 points, beginning with 3-pointers by Daley and Garrett and then two more by Epperson. The shooting guard, who has 57 points in two conference games, sank one more three to close out the quarter and a 31-10 Lancers lead.
Ahead 40-24 by halftime, Epperson would score 14 points with two more long-range baskets as Pasadena outscored the Beavers, 27-6, in the third quarter.
PCC will be tested on Wednesday, Jan. 31 when it travels to face state #2-ranked Mt. San Antonio College in a 7 p.m. tip-off.
