Pasadena City College women's volleyball players Camille Ferguson, Jada O'Malley, and Sharon Ohlgisser all are headed to 4-year universities on scholarships. The three players played on back-to-back Lancers South Coast Conference North Division champion teams in 2017 and 2018.
Behind a 25-11, 25-20, 25-17 sweep over Rio Hondo College Wednesday night, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team remains in first place in the South Coast Conference North Division with one match remaining. The Lancers held a festive post-match ceremony to honor the team's seven sophomores.
Prior to Friday night, freshman outside hitter Ariana Fotoohi mostly rooted for her Pasadena City College women's volleyball teammates from the Lancers bench. A reserve, she had played briefly in two matches, and had no actual statistics to show for it. By game's end, Fotoohi had etched her name in the PCC record books, setting a school-record with 11 service aces in the Lancers' home sweep over Los Angeles Trade-Tech.
