With South Coast Conference MVP and setter Emily Leung distributing the ball, the 15th-seeded Pasadena City College women's volleyball team maximized its offensive attack Saturday night in sweeping #18 Ventura, 25-13, 25-19, 28-26, in a SoCal Regional Playoff Play-In Round match. The win was accomplished in front of a loud, excited partisan crowd at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Perfect In Conference Season For Women's Volleyball

After its 4-set victory over Chaffey Friday night, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team can proclaim itself undeated South Coast Conference North Division champions at 8-0. The Lancers closed out the regular season at 17-9 overall in winning 12 of its last 13 matches.

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team had to rally from 2-1 down in sets to defeat host East Los Angeles College, 15-25, 25-19, 17-25, 25-23, 15-9, Friday night. It was the second time that PCC went the distance against the Huskies as the Lancers kept their perfect South Coast Conference North Division record intact at 6-0.

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team won its second match in as many nights Wednesday, following its 4-set win over Riverside with a sweep at LA Trade Tech College, 25-9, 25-17, 25-12. ECC Snaps Six-Match Win String For Women's VB

The unranked Pasadena City College women's volleyball team ran into a buzz saw Friday as state No. 16-ranked El Camino swept the Lancers, 25-21, 25-13, 25-13, and snapped their 6-match winning streak. The match at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium last only 70 minutes.

Women's Volleyball Grabs 1st In SCC North Race

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team accomplished mission No. 1 of 2 in its quest for the South Coast Conference North Division title Wednesday night. Despite trailing by a set, the Lancers came back to take the next three sets and beat host Mt. San Antonio College, 20-25, 27-25, 25-22, 25-16. PCC is in sole possession of first place at 3-0 and extended its winning streak to five in a row.

With its South Coast Conference North Division situation in serious jeopardy, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team stepped up in spectacular fashion in the fifth set of its match against East Los Angeles College Friday night. The Lancers scored the first nine points and led by as much as 13-1 before closing out a 5-set victory, 25-13, 22-25, 25-16, 24-26, 15-4, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Pasadena City College women's volleyball team head coach Mike Terrill knows he has a deep team, but on some nights he isn't sure who will step up for his squad. On Wednesday, it was redshirt freshman outside hitter Kendall Schmedes who took center stage. She powered 19 kills, and totaled 11 digs, five blocks, and served four aces in a steady all-around performance to lead the Lancers over Rio Hondo, 26-24, 25-19, 23-25, 25-20, in the South Coast Conference North Division opener for both teams.
