Women's Volleyball's Reese Roper Headed To College of Idaho

All-South Coast Conference Second Team outside hitter Reese Roper became the sixth player from the 2023 Pasadena City College women's volleyball team to earn a university scholarship. Roper is headed to NAIA College of Idaho.

Women's Volleyball Swept By Irvine Valley In Playoff Finale

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team saw its 2023 season come to an end on Tuesday as #4 seed Irvine Valley swept the Lancers, 25-16, 25-21, 25-16, in Round 2 of the Southern California Regional Playoffs. PCC finishes at 19-9 overall.

Chiechi Aces Out As #13 Volleyball Clinches 4-Set Playoff Victory

After taking a commanding 2-0 sets lead v. #20 seed San Bernardino Valley, the host #13 Pasadena City College women's volleyball team fell into dire straits by the fourth set. The Lancers faced a 23-19 hole as the Wolverines were two points away from forcing a fifth set.

Women's Volleyball #13 Seed Hosts #20 San Bernardino Valley In SoCal Regional

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team was awarded the #13 seed and will host a Southern California Regional First Round match v. #20 San Bernardino Valley on Saturday, Nov. 18. First serve is 6 p.m. at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium.

Playoff Seed Earned But How High Is Question Mark For Women's Volleyball

The state #17-ranked Pasadena City College women's volleyball team completed a bumpy ending to the South Coast Conference and regular season schedule, losing in four sets to #14 Mt. San Antonio on Nov. 3, then unceremoniously swept by unranked and seventh-place El Camino on Nov. 10.

#17 Lancers Volleyball Moves Into 2nd Place Tie, Upsets #12 LBCC In 4

First, the Lancers paid back first-place Rio Hondo, then on Wednesday it was the state #17 Pasadena CIty College women's volleyball team's turn to avenge another earlier league defeat in upsetting #12 Long Beach City, 25-18, 25-22, 17-25, 25-22. PCC stretched its winning streak to seven and in the process pulled into a second place tie with the Vikings in the South Coast Conference.

#18 Women's Volleyball Sweeps Cerritos, Yogan #2 On All-Time PCC Kills List

After a pre-match ceremony where the coaching staff presented a golden ball commemorating her milestone of 500 kills accomplished in her Lancers career, outside hitter Emma Yogan continued to add to her total as she pounded 17 kills in a South Coast Conference sweep over Cerritos, 25-13, 25-17, 25-20, at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium Wednesday night.

Women's Volleyball Letdown, But Recover In 4-Set Win At ELAC

After the emotional high of knocking off South Coast Conference leader Rio Hondo on Oct. 18, the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team suffered the proverbial "letdown" early on at East Los Angeles on Friday, Oct. 20. The now state #18-ranked Lancers scored just 11 kills in the first two sets alone, but managed to tie the Huskies at 1-1.

State #17 Women's Volleyball Upends #11 Rio Hondo In 4

After losing the first set, 25-23, the state #17-ranked Pasadena City College women's volleyball felt it had something to prove v. #11 Rio Hondo on Breast Cancer Awareness Night at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium. The Lancers proceeded to play their best volleyball of the 2023 season in a resounding 4-set victory where they outscored the Roadrunners, 75-47, over the last three games on Wednesday evening.

Women's Volleyball Wins 7th Straight At HP Gym

One of the strengths during head coach Mike Terrill's era in charge of the Pasadena City College women's volleyball team is the Lancers ability to utilize home advantage. The Lancers won for the seventh straight time at Hutto-Patterson Gymnasium in sweeping Los Angeles Harbor, 25-8, 25-14, 25-23, Friday night.

Yogan Reaches 500-Kill Milestone, #17 Women's VB Sweeps El Camino

Sophomore, 5-foot-10 outside hitter Emma Yogan passed the 500 kills mark in her Pasadena City College women's volleyball team career as the state #17-ranked Lancers swept visiting El Camino, 25-20, 25-7, 25-21, in a South Coast Conference match on Wednesday night.

Conference Road Not Kind For #16 Women's Volleyball

The #16-ranked Pasadena City College women's volleyball team is finding that being part of one of the strongest seasons in South Coast Conference history both a challenge and a curse. The Lancers have had a tough time on the road in SCC play, and Wednesday's 3-set loss at #17 Mt. San Antonio was the low point for the squad.

Playing against a program that just restarted after a 14-year absence from the sport, the state #18 Pasadena City College women's volleyball team starting unit made sure it would be at its most efficient in the Lancers' South Coast Conference match v. visiting Los Angeles City on Wednesday evening.

Volleyball Gets By Cerritos In 5

The Pasadena City College women's volleyball team didn't let late breakdowns in the first and fourth sets get in the way of defeating host Cerritos, 25-27, 25-7, 25-21, 23-25, 15-11, on Friday night. The state #22-ranked Lancers improved to 10-4 and 3-1 in South Coast Conference play.
