The Pasadena City College football team performed a highlight reel of big plays, needing every one of them to rally past host Santa Ana, 28-21, for the SCFA SoCal Bowl title Saturday night. For the first time in 20 years, the Lancers won both a conference--American Mountain League--and bowl championship in the same season.

Football Closes Regular Season With Most Wins In 19 Years

The 2021 Pasadena City College football team continued to reach new heights on Saturday night by winning its eighth game, 41-10, over Grossmont before an energetic crowd of Lancers fans at Robinson Stadium. It's the first time that a PCC team won as many games since the 2002 Potato Bowl squad.

Grossmont Stops Football's 4-Game Win Streak

In the first half of the 2021 season, the Pasadena City College football team had been successful thanks in part to keeping turnovers at a minimum (10 in five games) as its offense produced points with efficient drives and quick strikes. On Saturday afternoon, a multitude of mistakes and missed opportunities helped put a stop to the Lancers' 4-game winning streak in a 24-19 loss at Grossmont College.
